2010- The Armchair Generals met Rap Dirty in a dark & magical venue, "Viento Y Agua", an art house club in the LBC. Ms. Dirty, her fine ass putting pen to pad; didn't know who we were, or that we just took the stage.

The Dirty Rapper sauntered herself towards a coffee pot for a refill, when her ears stopped her feet!.... Girl' was locked into our AG vibe for the rest of the show.;)

AG's left the stage smokin'! RD chatted us up, told us she raps & asked if she could rock the mic with the AG's! Unfortunately, there were too many folks lined up to get next ;/

Time & chance happen to us all. It's 10+ years later, in fact, when a worldwide pandemic reignited our red hot reconnection. We emailed her a couple a' tracks, and ...nothin; didn't hear from her for quite some time.

However, as the lockdown took hold of the world, The Dirty One emailed us back with a complete, beautifily written song , press release, a reference track, and a heavily pixelated photo of Dirty Rapper naked on a bed; with the iconic facemask.

The Dirty Princess' press release mentioned the phrase "dirty mind" at its conclusion... An "ah-ha" moment to be sure. The AG's are familiar with Prince's albums. His blend of lovesexy music and Rap Dirty's vibe were the live connection: indeed.

Back to the Lab, OsO and Bebo was puttin' in that WORK, pumping out beats left and right, with the reference track in mind. Oso eventually came up with the tune, and produced the music for Fatima, tapping into some crazy dubby trap vibes. U know what we do goddammit;)

Rap Dirty in the AG recording studios- She was a one-take wonder! Knocking out her bars and melodies without breaking a sweat.
Impressed, we recorded it all and immediately commenced pre/post editing . The whole track was finished pretty quickly, but we felt like something was missing...a soloing instrument!

Rewind time, pre-pandemic era, while OsO was hanging out in Downtown Long Beach at The Wine Bar he stumbled upon Alex Rodriguez. Alex is a multi-instrumental talent and was doing a show with a bunch of instruments and a looping pedal. The music sounded so full even though he was party of one. After the show, they exchanged info and would later connect on this recording during the pandemic. His layered, lush guitar work completely elevates the vamp-out part of the song, making you feel like you're listening to it with clouds for headphones. It is always a pleasure running into a fellow traveler and actually making something of it.

Back to... the pen of Rap Dirty herself...

“FATIMA” is about a woman who takes you inside her bisexual wet dream. It’s a nonlinear subconscious creation of a woman’s lust to have a sexual encounter with a male and a female, the dream of a Menage A Trios! It’s a fun and sing-along song, a unique parody of itself.
